Connect with Dean Kimberly Jacob Arriola During Fall Office Hours

Laney Graduate School students are invited to meet with Dean Kimberly Jacob Arriola during her fall office hours. These sessions offer students an opportunity to ask questions, share feedback and speak directly with the dean about their experiences at Laney. 

Whether you would like to discuss your academic journey, learn more about schoolwide priorities and resources, or raise a question or concern, Dean Arriola welcomes the opportunity to hear from you. Students may also use this time to share ideas about how Laney can continue strengthening the graduate student experience. 

“Connecting directly with our students helps me better understand their experiences, recognize what is working well and identify areas where we can provide additional support,” Arriola said. “I want students to know that their perspectives matter and that my door remains open to them.” 

Fall 2026 office hours will be held on the following dates: 

Monday, Sept. 21, at 1 p.m. 

Thursday, Oct. 15, at 10 a.m. 

Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 11 a.m. 

Office hours provide an additional point of connection for students and complement the support available through faculty advisors, Directors of Graduate Studies, program administrators and Laney’s academic and student affairs teams. Students are encouraged to connect with the appropriate program or Laney contact when they need immediate or specialized assistance. 

All Laney Graduate School students are welcome to participate. Office hours will be held in the LGS administrative offices, located in the 1599 North Decatur Building, on the 5th floor. 

Dean Arriola serves as dean of the James T. Laney School of Graduate Studies and vice provost for graduate affairs. Her work focuses on advancing graduate education, supporting student success and strengthening the connections among students, faculty, staff and programs across Emory.
