Flourishing at Laney

Supporting the whole graduate student experience—academically, personally, and professionally. Flourishing at Laney is a graduate student initiative grounded in the belief that academic excellence and wellbeing go hand in hand.

Explore Flourishing at Laney
Flourishing at Laney was designed to support students throughout their graduate journey. Through intentional programming and shared responsibility, Flourishing at Laney integrates three core pillars:

Purpose & Wellbeing

Supporting sustainable self-care, reflection, and resilience so students can navigate graduate study with balance and intention.

Pathways to Success

Developing transferable skills, faculty mentoring, and career pathway exploration so graduate students are prepared for academic, industry, and public sector careers.

Community & Belonging

Fostering a culture of respect, inclusion, and connection that supports personal growth and strengthens academic communities.

Together, these pillars reflect Laney’s commitment to cultivating an environment where graduate students do more than succeed; they flourish.

Flourishing at Laney: Start Your Journey

Flourishing at Laney has officially launched—inviting graduate students to engage fully in the intellectual, personal, and professional dimensions of their graduate experience.

Grounded in Laney’s commitment to academic excellence and whole-student support, Flourishing at Laney connects opportunities across three pillars:

  • Purpose & Well-Being
  • Pathways to Success
  • Community & Belonging

Throughout the academic year, students will encounter programs, workshops, conversations, and experiences aligned with these pillars. As you participate, you’ll earn Flourishing stamps that recognize your engagement and growth.

How It Works

Earning a stamp is simple: attend eligible Laney-sponsored experiences. Whether you participate in a wellness workshop, a skill-building session, a mentoring event, or a community gathering, you choose the opportunities that align with your goals and stage of study.

Like collecting stamps in a passport, each experience contributes to a broader story of development. Along the way, you’ll also gain language to articulate your skills, leadership, and engagement in your CV, résumé, or professional profile.

Finding Eligible Events

All eligible experiences are available through the The Hub @ Emory. Every Laney student is automatically enrolled in the Laney Graduate School group on the Hub, where events are clearly tagged by stamp category for easy navigation.
